Iam blogging about the upcomin 3 Man Speedball event .
Many are asking the question ,how many others teams have registered for the tournament, some so they can determine if the event is going to happen. This may be impeding the process.Even with CFOA or other promoters registration and fees are required in advavce for planing purposes. You must go through the whole process, which includes paying the entry fee through Paypal. If the tournament is cancelled due to lack of entries, the registration fee will be refunded. The registration deadline will be extended through 31 Jan 2012However if 8 teams have not registered the event will be cancelled. The Compass is excited about sponcering this and future events. We love speedball and offer the sport to the community in the way it was originally intended.

What is a paintball "scenario"?
Interested in The Battle of Compass Hill, but not sure what a scenario is? This post was written by Dean, one of the organizers for The Battle to explain what a scenario is. Remember, registration ends soon, so sign up today!
| Scenario paintball is a type of Paintball game in which players participate in a scenario, or story; and may include historical re-enactments, futuristic or video game simulations. Games tend to last in the range of hours or days, and may include a large group of players. Scenario games are almost always objective-driven in regards to scoring. Each team must complete a series of missions to score points. These may be simple "capture the flag at this location" missions to elaborate missions involving props, multiple locations, interactive non-player characters and more. To further enhance the theme of a game, field locations may be named for important story locations, and props of various sorts are added to the game. These may be objects that players collect for points, or even vehicles that take part in the fighting, like paintball tanks. Players may don costumes specific to the theme, such as historic military uniforms or other costumes. So bring the family and friends everyone is invited. FOOD AND DRINKS ON SITE |

Changing the Rules
Hey everyone, just a quick announcement that we have updated our rules regarding the Surrender Rule on the speedball field. You can download the updated rules here. The only change is that we have eliminated all references to the Surrender Rules in the speedball section. The Surrender Rule will not be in place on the speedball field from this point forward. It will still be in effect on the woodsball field. Many people have been asking for us to change this, and we've heard you! We hope you'll enjoy this new freedom on the speedball field.
